You Are Loved — Ask Bobby

We exist so fewer LGBTQ+ people die too young. You Are Loved is a non-profit focused on LGBTQ+ suicide and drug-misuse prevention by tackling the root causes — not just the symptoms. We help queer people find support and community, reduce isolation, and feel less alone at the moments it matters most.

We do this through Ask Bobby, our nationwide directory for LGBTQ+ support and community, alongside peer-led services, events, and specialist mental health support for organisations working within our community. No judgement. No gatekeeping. Just people helping people.

Ask Bobby — The LGBTQ+ Directory for Support and Community

Ask Bobby is a free, nationwide UK directory connecting LGBTQ+ people with affirming support and community — from mental health charities and specialist therapists to grassroots groups, sports teams, and social spaces. Named in loving memory of Robin "Bobby" Windsor, Ask Bobby exists so that when someone asks "Where can I go?", there's finally a clear answer. You can search by location and vibe, or use BobbyAI to help guide you through the directory — always staying within trusted, verified listings.

LGBTQ+ Bereavement Support

Losing someone to suicide or drugs is devastating. Grieving in a world that doesn't understand LGBTQ+ lives can make it even harder. We offer free, weekly, LGBTQ+-led and judgement-free bereavement support groups — both in person (London) and online. Professionally facilitated, grounded in shared experience, care, and compassion.

Our Vision

A world where being LGBTQ+ does not make you more likely to die prematurely from suicide or drug-related harm. A world without stigma, silence, or shame.

Our Mission

Evidence the scale of suicide and drug-related deaths in LGBTQ+ communities. Challenge stigma and silence. Address harmful patterns of behaviour. Tackle the underlying causes — not just the outcomes.

The Team

You Are Loved is a Community Interest Company (CIC). Most of our work is powered by volunteers — psychologists, researchers, creatives, technologists, organisers, and community members — all working toward the same goal.

Fundraising

We rely on grants, donations, partnerships, and merch sales to keep Ask Bobby free and our support services running. Every contribution — large or small — directly funds support, community, and prevention.
